Roles and Responsibilities: Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products such as gyros and gear train mechanisms. Performs tasks
such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance.
Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions. May assemble and modifies prototype precision units for engineering personnel. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience and/or education. Must possess basic verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work 2nd shift. Able to achieve J-STD-001 certification. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies and procedures in the job area.
Must be able to perform assembly techniques in order to make modifications, reworks and assemblies. J-STD-001 solder certification or equivalent soldering skills. Ability to perform basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers and written materials. Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
