Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Setup, adjust, and operate welding equipment as specified by the WPS Examine welds for correct size and location with conformance to blueprint requirements Remove and/or repair existing welds to meet quality acceptance criteria Ability to layout, position, and fixture work pieces together consistently Perform welds in any position using GMAW welding process Tack assemblies together so that tacks are consumed by welds.
Inspect weld size and location, and verify critical dimensions with the use of blueprints. Setup equipment, select welding
gas and filler material, and adjust amperage and polarity for use with various base metals. Review WPS to determine equipment settings, and apply knowledge of GTAW welding process.
Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training and one to two years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
