Salary Range: $32,760.00 Annually SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be acting on behalf of the Institution providing administrative checks and balances needed at the local entities to ensure that the assets of the Department are protected, and all legislative requirements are met.

As supervisor, this position communicates with, motivates, provides, or coordinates training, evaluates employee’s work, plans and directs the employees’ work, and has authority to hire or

recommend the hire, transfer or discipline subordinate employee. Directs supervision of subordinate personnel who are performing warehousing, canteen, and mailroom duties.

Coordinates, directs, and maintains the daily operation of the mailroom, receiving warehouse, inmate discharge functions and cash receipts, payroll distribution, the institutional resource room and laundry operations, where applicable. This includes, but is not limited to, the receiving, storage, and distribution of commodities from various vendors and entities; receipt, inspection, and distribution of all mail for the institution as outlined by procedure. Communicates on a regular basis with the Assistant Warden at

the Institution and the General Services Manager at the Central Distribution Warehouse (CDW) on all administrative support functions being performed.

Responsible for the supervision of inmate workforce as it relates to receiving/shipping, canteen, and laundry operations. Responds to inmate requests and grievances as applicable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing, supply inventory, property management, food service and/or real property management. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Ability to formulate policies and procedures Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to analyze and identify operational and/or management problems Ability to develop various reports REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess high school diploma or its equivalent.
