A strong understanding of child development. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl. A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception. Duties Develops, plans, implements and monitors curriculum, meeting physical, cognitive, personal and social, and creative needs of children. Prepares, implements and evaluates weekly lesson plans with the teaching team utilizing weekly planning meetings.

Communicates often with Director, staff, parents and families to maintain relationships and resolve concerns early. Tracks, monitors and maintains records and files (mandated by Julia Day and State) including personal and classroom attendance, meal counts, time sheets, etc. Supplies parent/guardians with written or verbal notes about their child's day including highlights, changes of patterns and injuries. Maintains classroom in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Fills out ouch reports/accident
reports in a timely manner. Attends staff meetings and school functions as required.
Maintains ongoing knowledge of program activities and assists in preparation when requested to do so by the Director.
