Job Description Duties : The Registrar and Director of Student Records is responsible for Penn GSE's overall course management strategy, for managing student records and tracking overall and programmatic enrollment. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Director works closely with the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid, Faculty Affairs, Student Services, and the Program Managers to implement school-wide policies and procedures, and cross-departmental initiatives. The Director will provide a high degree of customer service to students, staff, and faculty.

The Director will oversee and manage several key processes including, but not limited to, student academic progress, graduation audits, course rostering and room assignments, student record management, curriculum management, and catalog production, the tuition and billing processes, the course evaluation process, and the transition to a new student information system. The Director will be expected to develop, implement, manage, and evaluate systems to track data, spot trends, and make data-driven recommendations to improve the services of the office and/or the school. This individual will ensure usability of all systems overseen by the Student Record Office by conducting trainings on various topics related student registration, enrollment and graduation.

This position is also responsible for managing and mentoring one direct report. Qualifications : A bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional qualifications include: Demonstrated competency in administering services and operations in a university environment Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, and change management skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, departments, and others Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred qualifications: Understanding of federal, state, and accreditation agency rules and regulations as they related to the Office of the Registrar Experience navigating a student information system overhaul Working familiarity with Ellucian, Banner, Degree Works, Leepfrog, Curriculum Manager, Catalog, Section Schedular (CLSS), PATH Experience managing staff Applicants must submit a cover letter.
