Summary We are looking for an Process Engineer (Manufacturing / Extrusion) to help us implement manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products.
You will need to have good knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods. Other necessary manufacturing engineer skills include project management ability, commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental standards. This role is ideal for someone that is recently out of a BS/MS program looking for a long term opportunity in industrial
manufacturing. Job Responsibilities Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Job Duties Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product
and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Develop and implement process improvements to optimize product quality, production efficiency, and cost. Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets. Collect and analyze large process datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns. The Lead will also be responsible for performing a variety of production focused tasks to support the daily production goals. Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities: Follows direction of Supervisor to assign and instruct
personnel of daily production duties. Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns. Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
Helps coordinate daily set up of equipment to ensure the line is prepared to run on time. Complete required checks and measurements, record accurately. Assist in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product. Assist with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations. Position is required to work before department start time in order to assist with area set-ups. Accountable to maintain punctual
and regular attendance for scheduled work hours. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies. Work with loud and noisy machinery. Work with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors. Pay is base plus $1.05 job premium.
