The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Elastic Stack solutions within our infrastructure. As an Elastic Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient utilization of Elastic Stack technologies to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Elastic Stack solutions including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Implement SSL/TLS certificate management for secure data transmission within Elastic Stack environments. Develop and maintain scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks. Manage and optimize data pipelines using Logstash for data ingestion and transformation.
Work with Kafka for efficient data streaming and integration within Elastic Stack solutions. Administer Linux-based systems to support and maintain Elastic Stack environments.
Collaborate with teams to integrate Oracle databases with Elastic Stack for efficient data indexing and querying. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Elastic Stack performance and scalability. Create documentation and provide training to internal teams on Elastic Stack best practices. Key Skills and Qualifications: Clearance - Top Secret Eligibility Sec+ required to start Proficiency in implementing SSL/TLS certificates in Elastic Stack environments. Strong scripting skills (e. g. Python, Bash) for automation and
deployment tasks. In-depth knowledge and experience with Linux systems administration.
Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and their integration within Elastic Stack. Proficiency in managing ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack components. Familiarity with Kafka for data streaming and integration purposes. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in Elastic Stack environments. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Elastic Stack (Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Analyst, etc.
). Experience with cloud platforms (e. g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Elastic Stack. Knowledge of other monitoring and logging tools alongside Elastic Stack. This position is headquartered at the Gila River Power Station in Gila Bend, Arizona.
What You'll Do Facilitate and/or lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods and corrective actions. Prepares and/or conducts written and oral reports and presentations. Assist with field equipment monitor implementation and integration of associated data into equipment health formulas and work management system. Facilitate equipment criticality strategy and ranking sessions for new assets and periodically review existing rankings as the business model changes. Monitor and provide support on Asset Health Programs. Review work process and procedures within the CMMS Perform engineering design work and engineering studies.
Perform as engineering project leader. Prepare specifications and evaluates bids. Prepare recommendation material for management consideration. Administer and review work performed by consultants and others. Perform field engineering work where needed. Perform engineering analyses. What It Takes To Succeed Responsible for project budgets and schedules. Occasional contacts with customers and outside agencies. Contacts with suppliers of equipment and services. Occasional travel to suppliers facilities, industry organizational functions and SRP facilities.
Ability to work effectively with various organizational groups within SRP. Ability to use engineering tools required for the job (i. e. computer, test equipment, etc. ). Experience Five (5) years full time experience actively engaged in engineering practice. Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for the job of Senior Engineer. Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
Education Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution, ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) or any state or internationally recognized PE registration. Testing and Certifications Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

What You'll Do Manages the activities of assigned staff including safety, training, and productivity to ensure compliance of work standards. Develops, prepares and manages O&M and capital budgets. Directs or supervises the use of schedules, procedures and standards for improved economy, reliability and safety of plant operation and maintenance. Supervises work in progress. Monitors facility daily to ensure reliable performance, efficiency and productivity of personnel and equipment.
Responsible for understanding and applying the provisions of the union contract and SRP policies. Manages outages and outage related work processes including: scope, planning, resources, materials, budget and procurement activities. What It Takes To Succeed For those individuals with an Engineering, Business or Technical Degree: A minimum of five years at the Senior Level of their professional job family, with experience in supervision, project management or demonstrated team leadership as determined by plant management. For those individuals who have progressed through the Technical Training, Apprenticeship or Operations Specialist Training Track: A minimum of five years in a Journeyman or Operations Specialist classification plus a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership, including supervision.
Candidates must possess the knowledge and ability to interface at all levels of the organization through delegation, supervision, coordination and empowerment. Such knowledge and ability may be gained through internal corporate training opportunities, college level courses in management principals and human relations, or other external educational opportunities to include but not limited to supervisory, management or military leadership seminars and conferences.
Supervisory experience in operations, maintenance, environmental, chemical, support operations or engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of boilers, turbines, generator, scrubbers and associated plant equipment. Must have a thorough knowledge of company policies, labor agreement, safety procedures and environmental regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure while working with others, proven ability to solve problems relating to the generation of electrical energy. Strong demonstrated human relations, organization and managerial skills.

WORK SCHEDULE This position is not a hybrid role and requires that the employee be on-site during the work week, with the ability to split time between SRP's Coolidge & Desert Basin Generation Stations.
