The incumbent will perform a variety of standard problem-solving techniques while assisting more experienced engineers in carrying out technical tasks, designs, calculations, and methods. Accountabilities • Provides evaluations, recommendations, and planning associated with the installation of new and replacement water system facilities. • Under higher level engineer’s guidance and review, performs civil engineering calculations; technical research to solve extensive and diverse engineering issues, and prepares project designs. • Ability to coordinate multiple projects
related to water system analyses, master planning, design, project management, and construction of various facilities.
• Aids in making decisions regarding the design and construction of utility facilities. • Assists in the preparation of letters, memoranda, reports, project specifications, and other written communication. • Assists in the preparation of Company rate case materials. • Communicates and coordinates with customers and developers concerning their needs for water system information and/or improvements. • Assists in the creation and maintenance of facility system maps and facility management systems. • Assists in the timely collection and processing of as-built documentation for construction projects.
Few technical decisions are made, and these are routine with clearly defined procedures and guidelines. • Assists in the construction of projects by securing permits, ordering materials and services, performing construction observation services, and maintaining records for capital project files. • Engage with Procurement to provide materials analysis, estimation and approval that meet specifications. • Update specific, detailed lists of project materials required for orders in SAP prior to Construction. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or an equivalent Engineering Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 3-5 years of technical experience in water facilities design and project management or other related fields.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. • Valid State Engineer in Training certificate with ability to obtain a State Professional Engineer license. • Valid State Water Distribution Operator certification (preferred) • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate in English with others including internal and external customers under normal and adverse conditions are required.

Essential Functions: General Duties and Responsibilities: Apply electronic theory and knowledge to perform operational tests, gather data, analyze faults, and perform repair/upgrade in company military product lines utilizing all available documentation. This will encompass equipment in all phases of product lifecycle,
including: prototype and pre-production, production, and fielded equipment and will typically include: PWAs, Subassemblies, Modules and completed Systems, Test Equipment, and proprietary Test Fixtures and Test Sets.
Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs, tests, and alignments to other company equipment. This includes analog and digital circuitry and appropriate mechanical adjustments. Assists in special reports, engineering changes, failure analysis and any other requirements for product improvement and quality. Supports engineering for any required testing, including Qualification testing. Attend training courses on theory and operation of power equipment as scheduled and improve current knowledge of state-of-the-art components products.
Responsible for following all proper safety requirements. Operations Support: Identifies non-conforming material and initiates Material Discrepancy Reports, FR/FF reports in Tip QA, and Break-Out Shop Orders, as applicable. Programs and verifies programmable integrated circuits using approved procedures and Quality Assurance software. Identifies and initiates changes to test documents using a Quality Test Change Request form. Documents information for failure analysis and reporting using the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System and Failure Analysis Reports.

Field Services: Performs field service activities (e. g. verification/validation activities, field change instruction development, tech manual development and markups) in the support of engineering projects or programs. Complete and submit expense reports and any other associated paperwork covering activities in the field.
