Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to partner with our technology, product, and business teams to help define a technical roadmap for Gainbridge. You will support the VP of

Engineering as a systems architect, liaison, and force multiplier, often owning our most difficult technical problems.

You will be working in a greenfield environment and delivering enterprise-class solutions to market, solving seemingly intractable puzzles in innovative yet pragmatic ways. To be successful, you will hold yourself and others accountable for routinely delivering mission-critical outcomes, and be a trusted, intellectually honest partner within your team and across functional boundaries. You will continually ask yourself, " What is accurate and what should be done about it? " This role will report to the VP of Engineering. Main Accountabilities: Contribute to and execute a strategic B2B roadmap, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to meet the needs and business objectives of the organization.

In collaboration with other Engineering leaders, define a robust and secure distributed architecture for enterprise-grade solutions. Act as a thought leader in establishing and implementing engineering best practices, solutions, processes, and tools to ensure systematic delivery of great outcomes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and with third-party vendors. Leverage broad skills across technology and business to plug gaps and deliver on priorities as needed while the organization is built.

Qualifications: Strong, concise communication skills. 15+ years experience delivering secure, performant, scalable software products. 10+ years working within engineering teams as a senior member, trusted expert, and velocity multiplier for mission-critical projects. 10+ years leadership experience designing and actualizing distributed streaming/queuing microservices architecture. 5+ years experience leading data projects utilizing various databases such as Maria DB and Cassandra, data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake, and ETL processes.

Track record of balancing fast-paced priorities with longer-term strategic visions. Experience partnering with product, business, and program management teams. Excellent analytical skills for evaluating ambiguous information and solving complex problems. High sense of ownership and accountability for results. Experience working in leading financial services organizations. BS degree in computer science, or another technical field. Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $200,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $300,000/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conducts comprehensive backssments of proposed substation, communications, and transmission line sites and corridors, considering factors such as drainage, soil stability, seismic activity, and environmental impact.

Collaborates with engineering, real estate, environmental, and project management teams to develop site plans, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), drainage ordinances, and oil containment requirements. Prepares comprehensive plans and specifications for civil and structural aspects of assigned

substation, communications, and transmission line projects. This includes foundation design, structural components, site plans, and geotechnical investigations and criteria.

Responsible for project scoping, including structural and site plans, specifications, and construction estimates. Oversees civil and structural design work, ensuring it aligns with project requirements and standards by performing and/or directing consulting third parties’ inspection and certification of construction activities. Facilitates communication between manufacturers, field representatives, survey contractors, and land agents to ensure smooth project execution. Maintains detailed records of all design plans,

construction activities, inspections, and project documentation.

Stays abreast of local regulations, codes, and environmental standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
