Essential Responsibilities: Actively participate in both independent and group R&D studies Provide strong technical support with a focus on process design, hydrodynamic, thermodynamic, and heat transfer areas. Plan, develop and perform complex experiments to advance
N/E's knowledge base and market competitiveness. Generate RELAP5 and CFD models in support of NPD/R&D efforts. Qualifications: To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required Knowledge: Experience in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and process design Highly skilled in applying process design methods, tools, and theory. Experience in using CFD/FEA tools
(ANSYS Fluent or Equivalent) and/or thermal modeling software.
Required Skills or Abilities: Must possess a high degree of critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals Strong laboratory skill set. Self-motivated and self-reliant Must be knowledgeable in calculation methods regarding thermodynamic and hydrodynamic processes and understand their applications with regard to operation and design of Nooter/Eriksen products. Formal Education: Four-year college education - BSME, BSAE or BSCh E minimum (MS or higher desirable) Experience: 5+ years of experience with a focus on process, design, operations, base research, and computational methods.
Unusual Working Conditions if any Ability to quickly problem solve, make decisions, interpret data, and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential. May be required to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 20%. May require jobsite and client office visits of various durations that may require the climbing of ladders to high heights (e. g. burner platforms & stack CEMS platforms). Must be able to climb ladder and stair tower, work from elevated platforms and scaffolding, crawl in and out of tight spaces, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
