Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose Primary objective of this position is lead acid battery design to support ongoing business objectives.
This person works on complex product related problems and independently finds solutions. The engineer exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving results. Interactions normally involve matters between functional
areas within the business and communication with suppliers. Person will independently manage projects to completion using Ener Sys policies and procedures, informing progress throughout the project life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate within the Product Engineering group to develop and form new products, improve existing designs using Solid Works, Windchill and the application of engineering principles. Read and interpret written documentation, drawings, procedures, external specifications and product information. Independently plan, test and document test results on existing and new parts or materials outside of the standard inspection procedures. Provide technical
support to Operations as needed Work with suppliers to develop new piece parts and improve existing parts Complete Finite Element Analysis work as necessary.
Interact with external organizations to accomplish project objectives. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills Competency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point), Solid Works, Windchill and project planning software required.
