WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE You can perform moderately difficult technical computations and consolidate acquired data.
You design using Civil 3D tools including Grading, Alignments, Profiles, Corridors, and Pipe Networks, and can satisfactorily pass our intermediate on-line backssment. Proof of prior Civil 3D course completion a plus. You have a working knowledge of Hydro CAD, Sewer GEMS, Water GEMS, or equivalent. You are proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office products. You have a willingness and initiative
to continually improve your engineering and CAD skills, whether on your own or via CPLs learning management system (LMS). You can comprehend and carry out oral or written instructions.
You have solid written and verbal communication skills. An understanding of construction plans/specifications and their application to public works projects. Desire to impart knowledge and share skill sets with junior staff. Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus. You earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. You’ve got a minimum of four (4) years of civil/municipal engineering experience. You are an Engineer in Training (EIT) You have a valid driver’s license and a willingness
to periodically use your own vehicle for travel to job sites (mileage reimbursable).
CORE DUTIES Prepare design models, engineering plans & documents using Civil 3D. Follow Corporate Civil CAD Standards while creating design drawings. Collaborate, Civil when necessary, with other CPL disciplines on projects. Research, evaluate and execute appropriate engineering techniques and code provisions for a wide range of projects with unique needs. Prepare conceptual drawings and report graphics. The rate for this position generally ranges between $55k – 86K annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. sustaining Manufacturing Engineering team, based in Latham, NY, consists of 10 Manufacturing Engineers and 10+ other positions including Tool Designers, Industrial Engineers, IT specialists, etc. The Manufacturing Engineering team contains diverse backgrounds and expertise and is involved in a lot of exciting innovations in manufacturing processes and controls.
The Manufacturing Engineering team works in close collaboration with Design & Drafting, Design Engineering, Product Industrialization, Purchasing, and Quality team members. The Manufacturing Engineering office is co-located with R&D, so they may work hand in hand with Design to research and implement DFM ideas or improvements to
our products that will improve our customer's experience. In this role, you are responsible for: - Providing technical support for the manufacturing area in the execution of world class operational performance.
- Ensuring robust production process capability and control, including process specification documentation. - Leading process tooling development to optimize error proofing and safe and efficient labor application. - Initiating, facilitating, and sustaining support for continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events) in the assigned area of subject matter expertise. - Leading and/or supporting Structured Problem Solving to remedy deviations to short interval control (Daily Management)
expectations. - Being responsible for area Technical Product (Standard Work) documents.
- Collaborating with EH&S, Design, Quality and Operations colleagues to ensure effective Design transfer to production. - Establishing and assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance.
