Working as part of the Development and Alumni Relations Office in Penn Engineering within a University-wide donor-centric prospect management system, the position will design and execute a major gifts plan for their assigned region that creates visibility for the school, expands its prospect base, and builds the School's major gift pipeline.

This role will also have the opportunity to focus on identifying new prospects for Penn Engineering through data analysis and discovery work. The Senior Major Gifts Officer will create a planned giving strategy for the department. Job Description Job Responsibilities Manage and develop a personal portfolio of assigned donors and prospects, with emphasis on those capable of making a gift of $100,000 or more. Identify new prospects for Penn Engineering to build pipeline for increased donor participation and support through data analysis and discovery work.

Develop and implement individualized strategies for top prospects that leverage key relationships within Engineering and across Penn leading to successful engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Achieve mutually agreed upon annual goals for visits, solicitations, and gift totals. Maintain a working knowledge of the School and University fundraising priorities. Plan and staff special events in support of the School's fundraising and alumni engagement effort. Work collaboratively with other development offices, and the Penn Engineering Dean and faculty to secure financial and non-financial goals for Penn Engineering.

Significant travel is expected, and occasionally with senior leadership of the School. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Senior Major Gifts Officer will determine planned giving strategy and serve as Office of Planned Giving Liaison Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of fundraising experience (5 to 7 years for the Senior Major Gifts Officer) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit, and close six-figure major gifts from high-net-worth individuals.

Experience in a complex higher education institution preferred. Familiarity with Penn and/or solid understanding of a major research university environment. Proactive approach that takes initiative and actively seeks to deepen current donor relationships and forge new ones through data analysis and discovery work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, in a goal-oriented team environment. Expert interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to manage multiple priority projects at once with ease and efficiency.

Principle accountabilities: Design and analysis of pressurized equipment and piping in cyclic service such as pressure swing adsorption vessels. Design and specification of static equipment such as pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Reviewing customer technical requirements and specifications and incorporating into project designs. Preparing technical specifications and conduct bid tab reviews. Providing operating plant support for the Process Gas business. This support requires interacting with Operations personnel to solve plant problems with equipment and piping.

Investigate causes of equipment failure. Develop repair methods and design changes to improve equipment reliability. Travel to supplier and operating plant sites both domestically and internationally is required. The amount of travel is normally 15%. Mentor and train junior mechanical engineers. Minimum proficiencies and qualifications: BSME or MSME required. 10+ years of professional experience performing detailed engineering and stress analysis of pressurized equipment and piping in cyclic service Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME B31.1, B31.3, and Section VIII, Div.

1 & 2, TEMA standards and API standards. Experience with European codes and the Chinese GB code would be beneficial. Solid understanding of fatigue design of pressure components. Experience with Pressure Vessel design programs such as Compress and PV Elite is beneficial. Experience with Finite Element Analysis is a plus Experience in welding engineering and quality control is required. Experience in applying engineering principles in a field environment is beneficial. Effective communication skills and the ability to work with global team members to closure on technical issues.

Deliver all objectives safely and achieve 100% compliance with safety requirements. 2. Develop process controls execution strategies in conjunction with overall project development team during the bid phase.

3. Produce process controls project scope of hours and cost estimates. 4. Participate in P&ID development, operability and hazard reviews and define control systems reliability, operability and availability plans as required. 5. Develop technical risk matrix, support reliability/availability studies, contribute to risk mitigation and project execution plans. 6.

Develop control equipment functional requirement. 7. Develop control system designs, architecture, programming & integration specifications and plans. 8. Support SIL backssments and verifications in line with functional safety requirements described within IEC61508 and 61511.

9. Support product development activities where the goal will be increasing competitiveness by reducing installed capital cost or optimizing the project engineering hours within the Process Controls offers. 10. Product development work may require production of design specifications including instruments, control valves, analytical analytical equipment, DCS equipment, SIS equipment and other Process Controls deliverables.

Domestic and international travel to other Air Products facilities, customer locations and plant sites is estimated to be up to 15% of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 10 years of applicable work experience. Experience in Functional safety applications. Experience developing control applications with Siemens PCS7 and Step7. Additional experience with other controls platforms is a plus. Detail experience in Control and Instrumentation applications. Demonstrable technical competence, effective communication, and be a self-motivated team player with a willingness to accept responsibility.

Ability to work under pressure and be comfortable with ambiguity. Experience in Green Hydrogen, Ammonia and Electrolyzer systems would be beneficial.
