Qualifications and Skills: Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Engineering (Structural or related), from an accredited university, with at least 9 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree, 15 years experience.

Registered Structural Professional Engineer (P. E. ) in the United States. This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U. S. Citizenship. Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Minimum Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.

Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as Bechtel Corporate guides and standards. Broad knowledge of the application of Structural engineering design principles. Position Summary This position is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will work on various projects as part of the NS&E execution center team. The projects that will

be assigned involve government work throughout various sectors, including DOD and DOE. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving skills, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.

In this position, the engineer will support design development of Mechanical systems and equipment (including HVAC and Fire Protection) for project(s) by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, material requisitions, engineering specifications, data sheets, evaluation, and more in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The engineer will work with other mechanical engineers, other disciplines/functions,

and/or the client. This role will be based in Knoxville, TN with periodic business travel, as required.

Responsibilities Coordinate within the mechanical group and other disciplines/functions independently in developing system designs and equipment identification in a team environment. Resolve technical issues related to the discipline independently including any required interface with other disciplines, functions, vendors, and/or client. Originate and/or revise Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), calculations, data sheets, material requisitions, and specifications. Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work products.

Support development of project cost and schedule estimates. Qualifications and Skills Basic Qualifications: Level I - BS degree in Mechanical (or related) Engineering from an accredited university or college with nine (9) years of progressive related experience, or in lieu of degree, fifteen (15) years of progressive related experience.
