How you'll make an impact at Intertek: Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site backssment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

Operates testing equipment and conducts testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provides backssment of data through reporting. Works utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams. Uses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks. Makes detailed observations and gives limited

interpretation of results. Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results. Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results. Communicates effectively with client and project teams.

What it takes to be successful in this role: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred Must have basic construction experience ACI Certification and 1+ years' construction material testing experience preferred (not required) Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record is required Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required External (or task related) certifications based on region and state may be required

The base wage or salary range for this position is $20 to $28/HR. This position will be responsible for providing management and oversight to all aspects of municipal projects focused on transportation, utilities, and stormwater, while understanding client goals, establishing effective client relationships, and supporting the team to achieve set goals.

Projects range in size and scope from small planning studies to large-scale civil engineering and construction. Our engineering group is currently involved in numerous municipal projects, and our ideal candidate will bring their experience along with a collaborative spirit to work on both current and upcoming projects. Responsibility Highlights for our Senior Engineer Manage design team including designers, support staff, and subconsultants. Perform project budgeting, planning, engineering, and design for transportation, stormwater, and municipal water and sewer utility projects and maintain contract management throughout the project. Provide technical oversight and review of project activities for transportation, stormwater, and municipal water and sewer utility projects as well as on in-house multidisciplinary projects.

Lead engineering and design efforts including the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates. Lead business development efforts including the collaborative development of client relationships, pre-positioning of project pursuits, preparation of proposals, and participation in project interviews. Work as part of a collaborative team with other engineers, and discipline professionals, as well as technical, marketing, and administrative support staff. highly complex mechanical fuel handling equipment from requirements through final design. Create 3D CAD models of parts and complex assemblies. Create interface, manufacturing, and assembly drawings, applying standards such as ASME 14.1 and Y14.5. Document design engineering work through technical writing.

Interface with other design disciplines (such as mechanical, instrumentation and controls, and nuclear) to identify and develop plant design information and specify system design and performance criteria. Coordinate and review inputs and requirements from Engineering and Project teams. Support planning efforts and maintain schedule adherence for design activities within a system,

as well as their integration with an overall plant design delivery schedule. Identify and ensure effective application of correct design codes into the design of plant systems.

Perform and review scoping analysis and calculations for design options. Present and participate in design reviews. Propose and initiate testing programs and provide support and oversight during test execution, evaluation of test results, and reporting of test results. This is a full-time contingent opportunity. Ideal candidate will have: Education: B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. M. S. and Doctorate degrees may be credited for up to two and four years of experience respectively. A minimum

of 5 years of CAD proficiency is required, Solid Works preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in the design of complex mechanical equipment, preferably involving multiple degrees of freedom. Experience with feedback controlled electromechanical systems, linear and rotary motion components and associated I/O instrumentation Experience with or ability to demonstrate understanding of electrical and control systems. Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills. Experience working to quality standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 is preferred but not required. Experience in design of mechanical systems including industrial robotics, material handling or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Experience in finite element stress analysis, mechanical analysis methods, and commercial mechanical stress analysis modeling tools is preferred but not required. Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) is preferred but not required. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M and tolerance stack up analysis is preferred but not required. Prior experience in the nuclear industry with nuclear fuel handling systems is preferred but not required.
