Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Perform rounds and inspections on mechanical equipment including but not limited to chillers, boilers, pumps, electric motors, cooling towers, generators, water meters, etc. in order to identify and correct potential problems before they arise. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, pumps, electric motors, exhaust and supply fans, cooling towers, air handling units, fan coil units, residential and commercial package and split units, water source heat pumps, walk in refrigerators/freezers, reach in refrigerators/freezers etc.
Understand the operation and water treatment of closed loop hydronic systems including comfort heating, comfort cooling, and WSHP condenser loops. Monitor and correct cooling tower and fluid cooler chemical levels.
