Essential Functions Executes assignments received in a timely and accurate fashion with the objective of minimizing downtime and maximizing quality, safety, and run time. Maintains equipment in a safe operating condition. Repairs breakdowns and completes operating adjustments as observed or requested. Wash-out, set-up, operate and maintain production equipment. Performs equipment preventive maintenance on a regular basis. Performs all other related duties
as assigned. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by utilizing the CMMS system to create work orders, issue parts to those work orders, and sign off work orders when complete.
Participate in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions. Communicate and execute with production team line changeovers and line adjustments. Understanding and adherence to GMP, SOP and safety procedures always, including LOTO Support structured improvement projects or other projects assigned by leadership. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices/equipment/machinery using hand and power tools.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Performs all duties autonomously with minimal supervision. candidate will be available 16-24 hours monthly, during weekends and holidays as that is typically when businesses are closed for concentrated carpet and floor work. As a Carpet Maintenance Worker, your primary responsibility will be custodial duties involved with cleaning, sanitizing, and restoring carpets and hard floors within the office buildings Supreme Building Maintenance is contracted to service.
Additional duties include: Conduct carpet cleaning, including spot removal and deep cleaning, to maintain the appearance and hygiene of carpeted areas, Perform floor maintenance tasks, such as waxing, stripping, and buffing, to ensure a polished and safe walking surface, Use specialized
equipment and chemicals to achieve desired results for carpet and floor care, Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Minimum qualifications: Previous experience in janitorial work and specialized cleaning services (carpet cleaning, waxing/stripping floors) is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols for specialized cleaning services. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting furniture (up to 80lbs), bending, and pushing/pulling cleaning machines, such as the carpet extractor. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
