Planner / Scheduler MISSION / SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing scheduling and supply planning responsibilities for Coated Recycled Board (CRB) at our Kalamazoo Mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for the detailed scheduling of paper machines in a team environment. This includes the trimming, sequencing, and sourcing of the production schedules. closely with production, shipping, logistics and our customer service team to effectively execute all planning functions at the Kalamazoo Mill.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. Position reports to the Manager, Planning and Customer Service Creation/ management of daily manufacturing production schedule, by machine, to meet sales allocations and customer orders. Ensure that orders are scheduled on the machine most capable and qualified to run the order as efficiently as possible to: Minimize trim/side rolls Maximize machine trim to efficiently Provide customers with on time shipments. Adjust production schedule as necessary to allow for scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
