weighing a maximum of 100 lbs Sufficient manual dexterity in hands Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges Responsibilities As the Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols of the entire property ensuring the safety and security of our guests Perform protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to life and property to maintain a safe and secure environment Observe and report any discrepancies Knowing the complete hotel facilities and layout including emergency procedures Spend the majority of shift on foot patrol, walking, climbing stairs of the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions Requires verbal communication using pager and two-way radio, bending, stooping, and kneeling as in performing CPR Patrol parking lot ensuring the safety of guests and property Patrol interior hallways and public areas ensuring the safety of guests and property Prepare routine logs of the status of patrolled areas Prepare security incident report and notify appropriate managers when an incident occurs Escort guests when asked to parking lot areas and assist with luggage if needed Perform housekeeping duties during their absence overnight, assist the Night Auditor with guest calls In addition, perform duties of Engineer on Duty and assist with maintenance calls overnight Respond to guest questions regarding the hotel Know the layout of the hotel including all and all outlets' locations and hours of operation Report and/or follow up on any complaints, or problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional fashion to ensure a quality guest experience Attend emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff, and company assets Memorize and monitor life safety system installed at property including layout of the entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned Maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication with all other departments Train, cross-train and re-train (when necessary) in all departments Assist Night Auditor/MOD whenever necessary Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy, and OLS Rules of Conduct Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the General Manager Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the associate handbook Our expectations from you: • Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy, and OLS Rules of Conduct.

This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. This

position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis; 48-hour rotating shifts with a work schedule 144 hours per pay period. Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime. This position performs, as required, mutual aid support to local fire departments. This position requires the incumbent to conform to the requirements set-forth in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1500, Fire Department Occupational Health and Safety Program. Employees hired for the first time into primary / rigorous GS-0081 positions must not exceed the established Maximum Entry Age (MEA) at the time of appointment.

The MEA for Firefighters is 37. This position is drug testing designated position and is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident. This position requires the completion of pre-employment and periodic subsequent medical examination in accordance with Do DM 6055.06 to ensure continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This position requires periodic (e. g. annual) medical examinations following appointment to determine fitness for continued performance of the duties of the position. This position requires successful completion of an annual Job Performance Test. This position requires participation in a cardiovascular physical fitness program. This position requires the incumbent to wear the prescribed uniform and/or personal protective equipment while on duty. The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.

S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. The duties of this position require the incumbent to successfully compete an annual emergency vehicle operator's course.
