We are actively hiring for an Associate Underwriter. Your Role: Conducts comprehensive underwriting review of commercial auto policies. Reports used for these reviews include state-mandated forms, motor vehicle reports and other reports. Exercises decision-making within established authority and state underwriting criteria. Interaction with internal and external clients to obtain needed underwriting information is required. Completes delegated duties and projects as assigned by management.

Your work: Review and issue policies which require further underwriting due to rules and guidelines which are not automatically issued by reviewing reports and queues Review reports for documentation needed to complete application, validate rating, or qualify risk Review will include deciding appropriate underwriting action based on authority level and underwriting guidelines. If outside of standard authority level, will refer to an Underwriter. Process Endorsements requiring special handling, such as Out of Sequence or require Underwriting review/authority Review and calculate premiums for endorsements in which a credit is requested for transactions that are Out Of Sequence Ensures these transactions are rated correctly, credit applied is accurate and appropriate documentation is obtained Review policies in which a Claim Underwriting Review/Notice To Underwriting is submitted Review will include deciding appropriate underwriting action based on authority level and underwriting guidelines.
