g. checks vital signs, backsses medical needs, administers medication) to psychiatric patient/offenders Provides direct professional nursing care (e. g. observes, backsses and records symptoms, reactions and progress of patients) and makes appropriate referrals Performs psychiatric nursing rounds Provides immediate attention to emergencies Completes psychiatric nursing care plans. Assists with orientation of staff Completes miscellaneous forms and reports, including quality assurance and medication compliance Attends meetings, conferences and training sessions as directed Pay ranges from approximately $70,800 to $104,800.
Starting pay will be based on qualifications, education, experience, and location/shift assignments. Ohio has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which went into effect January 1, 2023. The NLC allows an RN to hold one multistate license (MSL) in their primary state of residence while practicing virtually or over state lines in 37 other compact states across the country.
