Job Summary The Application Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for the design and administration of the infrastructure directly supporting TIDE's software services. This position enables TIDE to meet its operational objectives by: Designing the service topology required to support the reliability and availability of TIDE's business-critical applications.
Extending the functionality of the TIDE web platform to maximize performance and availability. Implementing monitoring solutions that assist in the proactive identification of problems in TIDE's production and test software service environment.
This role performs application systems engineering, maintenance, and design and support activities for all business applications. The ASE determines how to best integrate application components for optimal performance and designs the infrastructure layout. Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing Acts as primary point of contact between the TIDE group, Point32Health IT, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) staff. Coordinates maintenance
of business applications across platforms. Defines system topology for enterprise business services.
Monitors, reports, and analyzes metrics to meet or exceed the business' expectations for availability and performance of critical enterprise services. Works with Point32Health IT and MSP to create high availability, redundant service deployments. Maintains documentation that defines and describes the service environment. Troubleshoots and provides production support for applications across platforms. Provides input to plan, develop and document security audit responses, enterprise recovery plans, and disaster recovery guidelines. Engages in monitoring and environmental tuning to identify areas where optimization is necessary.
Defines system requirements for applications. Monitors performance tests, approach to performance tests and defines the correct tests to be used. Collaborate with Product Owners for planning and requirement gathering for TIDE projects. Perform root cause analysis on high severity issues. Other duties and projects as assigned.
