the status of projects and interagency relations, including private and public-sector entities. Completes projects and tasks with minimal supervision, having work reviewed at critical stages or when unusual circumstances arise to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and consistency with policies and procedures.

Operates in a team environment to consult with the Plans & Intel Officer and the Emergency Management Division Chief/Director in providing SLCo EM, UFA, and the public with excellent customer service as a subject-matter-expert. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises all GISS interns, including any such employees hired or contracted to do GIS-related work for SLCO EM as well as

any GISS personnel assisting during an incident in performing their assigned duties and tasks.

Will also oversee and/or advise on information-sharing agreements affecting SLCo EM. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the operation of GIS functions throughout SLCo EM and works closely with Division Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs within UFA to recommend, plan, and implement GIS solutions that integrate with existing data systems and conform to UFA policies and procedures. Performs a wide variety of complex technical and general administrative duties related to the development of digital maps through a geographic information system (GIS) using primarily Esri Arc GIS 10.

x, Arc SDE, Arc GIS Online, and related computer applications. Compiles, creates, edits, and manages geographic databases and imagery for mapping and data analysis. Utilizes geoprocessing tools to perform spatial analysis tasks, including geometric network analysis for solving jurisdictional disputes, quickest route, closest facility options, and other response challenges. Administers geodatabase permissions and installs GIS software and products for authorized users. Utilizes knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, and advanced database principles to maintain, analyze, and preserve data for use in statistics, maps, and reports.

Analyzes and interprets spatial data and aerial imagery, prepares customized electronic, interactive, and printed maps and other graphic displays using appropriate cartographic principles for use by Salt Lake County Emergency Management officers and staff. This would include predictive analysis and modeling for hazard-specific or incident-specific threats to SLCo. Develops and deploys interactive web mapping applications using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that deliver GIS information and geoprocessing models across organizational boundaries to field workers, decision-makers, and citizens.

Integrates GIS with the Records Management System (RMS), including incident, property, and inspection data, and makes information available to field personnel, decision-makers, and government officials as required. Works with the different departments, bureaus, divisions, and cities within Salt Lake County to configure Records Management to meet Emergency Management needs and performs technical tasks associated with planning, organizing, and completing GIS projects. Prepares professional applications, reports and/or maps, and other graphic displays using appropriate database and cartographic principles that conform to agency standards.

Provides specifications for software and hardware to facilitate GIS needs throughout Salt Lake County, including recommendations for improving workflows, current practices, and the overall function of GIS within the EM Bureau and UFA. Ensures that the GIS system and all required licensing are maintained efficiently and kept up-to-date by evaluating and incorporating advances in technology and software as it pertains to emergency management and response. Maintains and enhances skill level and knowledge by attending industry trainings, conferences, and applicable seminars.

Participates in regional and other user group meetings to provide perspective and gain insight into intergovernmental, interagency, and multi-organizational efforts in GIS coordination and collaboration. Develops GISS's growth and professional development by recommending participation in industry training, conferences, and applicable seminars. Conducts regular evaluations of GISS to ensure performance measures are in place that will help specialists succeed in their role. Along these lines, coordinates and supervises GIS employees' hours and signs off on timecards.

Coordinates scheduling to ensure that GIS on-call response is covered on a 24/7 basis and that daily GIS staffing of the Salt Lake County Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) (Watch, Day-to-Day) is accounted for. Responds to ECC activations, IMT deployments, and other emergencies requiring GIS support. Performs other duties as assigned. TYPICAL DECISIONS: Incumbents typically set their own priorities within assigned programs or projects, relying on demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of assigned programs, UFA policies and procedures, and customary clerical business practices.

The GIS Supervisor makes final decisions regarding GIS-related policies and practices with input from GIS specialists and other EM/UFA staff. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: □ Knowledge and Skills Proficiency with Esri Arc GIS software (10. x or newer), including Network Analyst, Arc GIS Online, and web services. Proficiency in developing and maintaining geospatial databases and servers. Proficiency in GIS and cartographic design principles and practices. Knowledge of projected and geographic coordinate systems, feature dataset formats, scales, and graphics.

Perform effectively in stressful situations and complex environments, including long-shift work during a disaster or significant public emergency. Work as part of a team providing GIS tools, data, and training to support Salt Lake County Emergency Management. Responsibilities: Security Solutions Design & Maintenance - Collaborate with other technical teams to understand networking and adjacent systems and their business context. Research and design security solutions that satisfy requirements for risk management and operational effectiveness. backss data transit security, related authentication systems, and supporting controls to ensure policy compliance and recommend improvements. Contribute to team efforts that implement and administrative, technical, and physical controls that protect company information systems, data, and personnel.

Security Operations - Maintain organizational threat & vulnerability management awareness, systems, processes, and procedures. Job Requirements Required At least five years of network engineering work experience Two years of work experience in a security focused role At least one network security focused certification, i. e.
