aid to staff, volunteers, and visitors; Ensure proper exterior signage is in place prior to opening and throughout their shift; Respond to and de-escalate aggressive individuals.

Working Conditions This position is non-exempt, paid hourly; This position is regular full-time scheduled for 40 hours/week; Position shifts depend on business needs and may require working overnight, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some shifts may be unsupervised. Physical demands include: 80% standing, 10% sitting, 10% lifting/carrying/pushing; Vision demands include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches of less) Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) Environmental demands include outdoor weather

conditions; Noise Levels include: Quiet (examples: library, private office) Moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) Loud (examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment) Secondary Job Responsibilities Provide support to the Security officer team and Facilities department as assigned by the Safety, Health and Security Manager.

Secondary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist and/or coordinate efforts in finding lost children/parents in the museum; Work with local jurisdictions to report graffiti, encampments, biohazards, and large trash cleanups; Fire alarm response, procedures and evacuation of the building must be understood and supported; Perform support tasks for the facilities department, as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities REQUIREMENTS: Strong problem solving skills, with a focus on adaptability, exercising sound judgement, and upholding high integrity and ethical standards; Willingness to learn, practice, and embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles in their role; Strong communication skills: Capable of reporting incidents or accidents clearly, verbally, and in writing; Ability to defuse aggression, objection, or conflict using culturally competent, anti-racist, and empathetic response; Ability to positively engage with the houseless community, and identify and share relevant resources and support systems; Developed understanding of confidentiality and protocol, and adaptable to OMSI-specific community agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Attends and participates in all security briefings and staff meetings. Patrols gaming floor, conducts checks for open machines, floor bank, drop doors and lot checks; identifies and reports suspicious activities to appropriate personnel. Assists in training and development of newly hired staff. Performs all lobby duties, verifies age of patrons, opens

doors, checks suspicious packages and identifies intoxicated patrons. Verifies fills, jackpot winnings and credits for accuracy; transports money, chips, tokens and markers.

Controls access to restricted areas; checks for and reports all safety hazards. Performs inspections on a routine, daily, and monthly basis to include inspecting signs, aisles, walkways, fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers. Assists patrons with vehicle lockouts, lost and found and safety issues. Ensures employees adhere to all gaming policies and procedures; reports any violations to appropriate personnel. Controls emergency situations, which may include resetting alarms, evacuation and/or shutdown of

building. Conducts initial investigations by interviewing and obtaining written statements from customers/employees; completes a thorough and accurate report in a timely manner.

Completes and verifies gaming paperwork, departmental logs, reports and parking violations. Communicates with other security personnel using two-way radios according to established codes and procedures. Oversees the Lost and Found program by ensuring that all items found are bagged and tagged and accounted for through written documentation. Confers with representatives of local government to ensure cooperation and coordination of Casino activities with law enforcement and firefighting agencies.

Acts as EMT as required; responds to emergency medical situations, administers first aid treatments, assists paramedics and other emergency medical service personnel; provides emergency medical care to casino patrons, administering first aid and artificial respiration to injured persons and those overcome by a life-threatening emergency. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Performs other duties as required. Complete and maintain CPR, AED, TIPS and First Aid certifications. Ability to become certified Emergency Medical Technician by the State of LA.
