RN's to help with GI Saturdays Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA backss patient's preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility or health

care organization policies and procedures to include the patient'scardiovascular system, respiratory system and airway management needs, neurological system, hemodynamic stability, pain and comfort needs, andmental status.

Interpret information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors. Describe the underlying pathophysiology of commonly encountered disease processes. Describe the physiology associated with various anesthesia techniques and surgical or procedural interventions. Apply the relevant scoring system/discharge criteria for patient transfer (e. g. Aldrete Score, Modified Aldrete Score [i. e. PARSAP], Post Anesthesia Discharge Scoring System [PADSS], White) score accurately as defined by organizational policy.

Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care. Implement the plan of care including the following interventions: Preparing for and managing patient recovery from anesthesia - general. Preparing for and managing patient recovery from anesthesia - monitored anesthesia care. Preparing for and managing patient recovery from anesthesia - regional. Preparing for and managing patient recovery from anesthesia - local. Preparing for and protecting patient from injury caused by positioning, thermal sources, and extraneous objects.

Communicating the patient's current status throughout the perianesthesia continuum of care. Providing acute pain and comfort management as needed. Administering medications safely and correctly by using the 8-rights of safe medication administration. Performing interventions to maintain the integrity of the patient's wound and tissue perfusion at or above baseline levels. Performing interventions to maintain the status of the patient's genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems, and fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances at or above baseline levels.

Performing interventions to ensure the patient is at or returned to normothermia at the conclusion of the immediate postoperative period. Performing interventions to protect patient from infection. Managing patient's other co-morbid conditions as applicable. Managing patient's fluid as prescribed backssing knowledge level of patient or designated support person and providing education regarding the expected psychosocial response, nutritional management, medication management, pain and comfort management, wound management, and expected responses to the operative or invasive procedure; Involving patient or designated support person actively in decisions affecting his or her perioperative plan of care and the rehabilitation process.

Protecting patient's rights, dignity, and privacy. Providing age-specific, culturally competent, ethical care within legal standards of practice; and Providing consistent and comparable care regardless of the setting. Evaluate the patient's progress toward attaining outcomes. Transfer care as needed. Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient's condition and response to care.

Delegate tasks according to the state Nurse Practice Act (if applicable), state board of nursing or professional registration requirements, state laws, and job descriptions. Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly. Collaborate effectively with other disciplines as needed. Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects. Lead strategic efforts to sustain removal defense work, including recruitment, retention, funding streams, community engagement, outreach, etc. Collaborate with the grants team to ensure the successful submission and completion of grants, including support in preparing grant applications, ensuring the successful completion of deliverables, and overseeing grant reports. Market immigration services, includes demonstrating an accurate and up-to-date understanding of CAIR's services to community members, leaders, and other stakeholders.

Participate in, lead, and/or form coalitions with partner organizations, while collaborating with and uplifting immigrant communities and immigrant-led organizations. Oversee and participate in community outreach and educational activities, including planning and conducting legal clinics, KYRs, and other community events. Oversee the production of certain internal and external reports, including data collection, testimonials, and narrative writing.

Support interdepartmental collaboration by providing recommendations regarding client-to-service pipeline, funding or programming opportunities, client-informed concerns, and other potential areas of overlap. Develop, update, and maintain office procedures and immigration training material to ensure continuity and legal services are current in accordance with organizational standards and federal and state law respectively. About the Role: The Los Angeles office of CAIR (CAIR-LA) is looking for a candidate that will demonstrate a commitment to public interest advocacy and serving diverse communities. Candidate will be a motivated individual with experience and interest in many different types of public interest law who will be expected to identify, strategize, and use creative legal and grassroots advocacy solutions to address

systematic issues facing the American Muslim community.

Practice Areas: Civil Rights/Civil Liberties (Religious Freedom), Employment, National Security & Law Enforcement Practices, Public Accommodations, Prisoners' Rights, School Issues, Hate Crimes/Incidents, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and investigate an array of legal claims brought by an incredibly diverse community Conduct intakes of legal claims as necessary through effective communication with members of the community Manage a considerable caseload (our attorneys currently manage approximately 200+ intakes each per year) Provide assistance on assigned litigation efforts, including preparing pleadings, motions and briefs Depending on experience, identify, develop, lead and manage assigned litigation efforts, including, preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs Perform in-depth legal research Legal writing including, but not limited to, drafting complaints, discovery, briefs, letters, and memos; and non-legal writing including drafting community advisories, issuing briefings, and reports Communicate with outside parties such as attorneys, employers, law enforcement agents, administrative agencies, media contacts, etc.

Work to educate and empower community members on their rights through community presentations and material distributions Prepare and assist in CAIR-California reports Travel for outreach including participating in community events and coalition meetings All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones, weekly outreach, fundraising, and other office tasks as required QUALIFICATIONS: Law degree from an American Bar Association accredited school California State Bar admission 3+ years of experience advocating for, representing and/or litigating on behalf of clients in areas such as employment law, religious discrimination, public accommodation, denial of benefits by governmental and private actors in courts and administrative agencies Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability for meeting deadlines Demonstrated problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail Comfort working productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking experience Experience working with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Access to a working vehicle and the ability to drive throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area High degree of self-motivation and creativity A strong commitment to civil rights and CAIR's mission Basic computer proficiency including knowledge of Office 365, One Drive, and West Law Next Knowledge of cloud applications such as Share Point, Office365, and social media applications (preferred) Conversational proficiency in Arabic, Farsi or Urdu (preferred but not required) TO APPLY:   Submit cover letter and updated resume Equal Employment Opportunity: CAIR-CA is passionately committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws that prohibit employment discrimination based on age, race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, and other protected classifications.
