Duties: Provide legal counsel and support in fund finance matters, specifically in NAV-based and subscription credit facilities. Represent clients in negotiations with borrowers, agents, lead arrangers, and lenders involved in fund finance transactions. Navigate and offer guidance on various fund

structures, including hybrid, open-end, HNW, aftercare, umbrella, management fee, and GP lines. Conduct legal due diligence, draft and review legal documents, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address legal issues and provide strategic advice. Requirements:6 years of experience in fund finance, focusing on subscription line credit facilities and NAV-based facilities. Proven track record of representing clients in a law firm setting, with preference given to those with experience in large law firms. Familiarity with collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving

skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications: Admission to the Bar in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility for admission). Skills: In-depth knowledge of fund finance, subscription credit, and NAV-based facilities. Legal drafting and document review skills. Negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with the regulatory landscape of fund finance. The North Carolina law office opened eight years ago. Areas of expertise include structured finance-securitization, and financial services-investment management. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-line or tenured appointment depending on rank at the time of hire. Candidates will carry out a research program, actively pursue external funding, and contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary efforts across the School of Education and campus. Candidates also will (a) develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Human and Organizational Leadership Development (HOLD), Organizational Leadership and Learning (OLL), and related programs and areas delivered in face-to-face, online, and/or blended formats; (b) support strategic initiatives across the School and campus; contribute to the ongoing development of undergraduate and graduate programs; (d) actively recruit and supervise undergraduate and graduate students; and (e) provide leadership and service at the local, state, and national levels.
