Now hiring a Security Supervisor for a hospital in Portsmouth, NH $20.16 / hour Monday - Friday Shift Times: Midnight - 8am Responsibilities Include: Cleans, maintains and operates transport equipment and operates elevators to move or escort patients/visitors to and from various hospital areas, as directed, following established operating policies and procedures.

Receives formal instruction/direction upon pick-up and provides formal hand-off report at destination, when not required to stay with patient. Reports any changes in patient status/condition

during transport. Removes and reports defective equipment to supervisor. Assists clinical staff with lifting and moving patients for transfer and transport. Ensures oxygen tanks required for transport contain sufficient oxygen and are safely secured for transport.

Cleans transportation equipment according to Infection Control protocols. Confirms patient readiness for transport and need for appropriate equipment and ensures that equipment is ready and available. Recognizes cardio-pulmonary distress symptoms, sends for code team and provides CPR if necessary. Uses patient transport tracking system to receive patient information; accept, track and close assignments. Receives Security training

in: Crisis Prevention Intervention and Trauma Informed Care, response to missing persons, and basic Security skills.

Training in other Security Department areas such as: Dispatch, Valet, Concierge, and standard Security roles are available. Qualifications/Requirements: Qualified applicants for the Professional Security Officer position will meet the minimum requirements, as described below: At least 18 years of age; 21 for Armed or Taser positions. High school diploma, College Degree, or GED. Education must be verifiable through the background vendor. (Certificates of Course Completion not acceptable). Must have 5 years of work experience within the last 5 years , with a minimum of 2 years verifiable work history.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and Drug Screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Perfumes or cologne, or other smells which could impact patients with respiratory ailments, will not be worn in excess. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be worn as appropriate to job roles and duties performed The use of personal electronic devices is prohibited while on post/patrol except in designated areas specified by client policy Physical and Mental Functions: Climb and descend stairs to all floors of the hospital in the event elevators are not accessible due to mechanical issues or emergency situations.
