Nursing Administration in the general management of daily workflow and activities which promote staff development and the delivery of high-quality patient care. On their designated shift, this position is responsible for staffing, scheduling, promotion of quality improvement, patient safety improvement programs and assigned staff evaluations.
Requirements Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration : Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Oregon. Current CPR and ACLS. Must have or obtain NRP, ENPC and TNCC certification within 6 months and become OB and ED certified within 6 months
of start date. Exp erience : Three (3) or more years of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred. One (1) or more years of clinical supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
Job Knowledge : Responsible to understand and capable of implementing duties within the scope of rules and regulations of the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act. Skills : Ability to function calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Act as a resource to nursing staff. Communicate effectively with patient families, medical staff, nursing staff, other hospital departments, and community agencies. Demonstrate a positive and compassionate attitude toward patients and their families.
Act as a role model for nursing staff. Maintain patient and staff confidentiality.
Maintain open and effective communications with management, nursing staff, physicians and other hospital departments. Function as a supportive member of the patient care/management team. Promote positive public image with patients and families. Communicate written and oral information in a clear and concise manner. Computer literate. Expected Hours of Work : Per mutually agreed upon in position statement. Includes shared Nursing Management call responsibility. Supervisory Responsibility : This position directly supervises nursing staff on designated shift including RN's, LPN's, CNA's, ED Tech's and Unit Secretaries.

in and around the designated areas of surveillance to provide information, problem-solve, prevent unlawful activity, take appropriate action when necessary and promote positive public relations Patrol the areas around the CBOC Clinics and report any illegal activity, unusual findings, or safety concerns.
Security guards will, at random so as not to establish a pattern, conduct a minimum of four internal foot patrols and two external foot patrols of the CBOC Clinics. Log these patrols in the daily operations Log. Conduct one final internal foot patrol prior to the close of business to make sure that no unauthorized persons remain in the building. Respond to all calls for assistance in
the clinic as quickly as possible. Security guards will provide escorts for vendors dropping off or picking up needed materials.
