Assist with tool and equipment rentals/returns and tracking of rented equipment. Develop a testing log and filing system for all site testing of all systems. Submittal review, processing, and tracking. RFI review, processing, tracking, and posting. Participate in productivity tracking and forecasting.
Tracking most current drawings and updates. Change order pricing and development. Quality assurance, quality control and compliance checks. Attend jobsite meetings as required. Work within the commissioning process to organize pre-functional checklists, start-ups, tech coordination and other items required for a successful job start up and completion. Work with General Contractor(s) on miscellaneous
reporting, meeting and updates. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The Project Engineer must have excellent written communication skills. He/she must have problem solving ability, anticipating problems, and solving them with minimal costs.
This individual must demonstrate the ability to handle difficult situations and perform well under pressure. This individual must be able to provide other employees with training, direction, and motivation. The Project Engineer must be able to assist with establishing schedules and monitor progress against those schedules. Accountability: This person is directly accountable to the Senior Project Manager and/or VP of Construction for the accomplishment of all aspects of the job to which he/she is assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. The Project Engineer must be able to view blueprints, understand the scope of work, read the specs, and determine costs.
2. This individual must enter data to monitor labor, subcontractor costs, equipment rental costs and material costs against the estimate. He/she must maintain contact with and knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers of job-related material. The Project Engineer must attend job site meetings as needed. He/she must make regular job site inspections. This individual must maintain job budgets overseeing costs against estimates. He/she must ensure adequate staffing needs are met for the job. The Project Engineer must ensure needed equipment and materials are provided.
This individual must maintain prompt removal of rental equipment from the site. He/she must conduct pre- and post-job meetings with plumber assigned to job. This individual must maintain proper documentation of the project (i. e. change orders, logbooks, contracts, certificates of insurance, etc. ). He/she must negotiate change orders with the client and ensure that the change order is signed by the client prior to the work being performed. The Project Engineer ensures that work is performed only after the company has obtained all required licenses and permits. The Project Engineer must also ensure inspections are scheduled on a timely basis.
This individual acts as a liaison between Precision Plumbing, customers, vendors, and inspectors. The Project Engineer maintains regular contact with the client and ensures good client relations. Powered by Jazz HR
