Nature of Duties · Investigates, proposes, and implements improvements to the facility, equipment, and processes to improve SQCDME. · Assists assigned HPWTs in implementing and maintaining standard work and solving daily engineering/production issues. · Participates in continuous improvement team (CIT) activities and drives approved SQCDME ideas/suggestions to completion. · Develops and validates production processes, generating process documentation
for critical assembly processes. · Actively participates in and supports PPS, cost reduction, warranty reduction, Six Sigma, lean, just-in-time, internal audit and other plant initiatives.
· Designs and procures assembly aides and fixtures. · Reviews proposed engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommend revisions as necessary to ensure Design for Assembly. · Plans for and supports production implementation of new product introductions necessitated by design changes. · Identifies projects, generates cost estimates, justifies projects for inclusion in proposed capital and expense budgets. Projects include implementation, budgeting and schedule planning to complete the project on-time and in budget.
· Develops, proposes, and implements Capital Budget projects. · Keep internal/external customers, managers, and peers informed of work progress, activities, problems, or opportunities of which they should be aware. - Other duties as assigned Qualifications A current College or University student at an accredited institution. Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and communicate abstract concepts clearly. Nature of Duties Support senior manufacturing engineers and project managers in information and data collection. Based on data and facts, will make recommendations for manufacturing improvements such as, capacity, cost reduction, quality, and safety. Implement assigned project improvements to production and develop sustainable training plan. Develop, improve and audit current process or equipment documentation that will include training plans.
Develop and present to local and division management on project assignments.
Provide periodic updates on project assignments to manufacturing engineering manager. Update plant layouts as assigned using autocad. Create in powerpoint and present internship accomplishments at the end of the summer. SUMMARY Interns assist the company with tasks set out by various teams, such as research, data capturing and working closely with different team members to learn more about the company. NATURE OF DUTIES • Assist the maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and maintaining controls and automated production equipment, including robotic equipment. • Maintains necessary records and documentation, preparing management reports as assigned. •
Work with Accounting and Purchasing to resolve the supplier payment system.
• Ensures compliance with environmental procedures, ensures compliance with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA regulations and recommendations. • Fulfilling tasks set out by supervision from several departments. • Attending meetings and taking minutes. • Performing research at a supervisor’s request. • Attendance is an essential function of all positions. • Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Actively enrolled in an engineering program or similar discipline • Knowledge of city, state, and federal electrical knowledge required. Knowledge of mechanical and safety codes preferred.
• Experience with Rockwell programming software including: RSLogix, 5000, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSView32, Panelbuilder32, Factory/Talk View Studio, and Driver Explorer, or Drive Executive. • Experience with robotic programming.
