Key job responsibilities: Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect and troubleshoot cabling. Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords. Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices. Report status via ticketing system, status reports, email, and slack. Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests
and projects. Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers.
Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness. Work with a partner to move integrated enterprise equipment from loading docks into planned positions. Manage, check and coordinate all materials to be delivered to site daily. Carry cell phone for communication, information, and emergencies. Up to 50% travel within geographical work area may be required. some travel outside traditional work area may be requested.
