to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired cardiac diseases.
• Evaluate the cardiac status by using a logical and systematic approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally: Thoracoabdominal situs, Cardiac Position, Atrial Situs, Atrioventricular connection, Ventricular Morphology, Ventriculoarterial connection • Evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease. by having extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations. • Knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures for the repair or partial repair of congenital heart disease and the various modifications encountered for different congenital disorders.
• Knowledge of the 3 major categories of corrective procedures and the variations encountered. • Ability to evaluate complex fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology • Ability to provide relevant echocardiographic data, making quantitative calculations and communicating the impressions for the physicians. • Participates in quality assurance activities and research studies as needed • Shifts are: Day shifts working Monday – Friday. No Call.
