Assurance Technician (QAT).
The primary responsibility of the QAT is to manage, edit, and process data from field crews, aerial mapping, Li DAR, and other sources to produce mapping products. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Checking and editing data for errors and completeness, Converting data to an appropriate format, Documenting data sources and products, Providing expertise with regard to; the survey equipment, field & processing software, field procedures, and Mentoring and training the region's survey crews and consultants in these areas.
The QAT Senior Technician will also be the Department's survey point of contact for construction projects when Regional
PLS is unavailable. To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Eight (8) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and four (4) years of engineering experience -OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and six (6) years of experience in engineering.
