Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, Operations Location: Fort Worth, TXThe Senior QA Specialist works independently to provide quality assurance
oversight of any area assigned where the business is responsible for adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (c GMPs), including critical utilities (e.
g. Automation, equipment, HVAC, etc. ), warehouse, distribution processes, inspection, labeling and packaging, batch disposition, new product introduction. Quality oversight responsibilities include ensuring adherence to SOPs and requirements, proper change control, corrective action and preventive action plans (CAPA)/Deviation management, impact backssments for process changes, risk management, and ensuring documentation and investigations meet all requirements. The role involves: Managing continuous improvement and department projects.
Reviewing and approving investigations and deviations. Supporting regulatory inspections. Other responsibilities include creating and revising procedures, managing the quality release process, and resolving quality issues within the product supply chain. Essential Functions Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives and department projects. Works closely with local and global teams to recognize opportunities for improvement and drive change through monthly quality improvement meetings. Identify, classify, and report deviations and complaints as appropriate.
Works with manufacturing sites to resolve quality issues, monitor supplier corrective and preventive actions, and review CAPA effectiveness. Responsible for review of investigations and quality systems related to the disposition of specific batches. Responsible for the quality release process for finished product distribution, including visual inspection of the finished product for the US market. Support regulatory and third-party inspections. Participate in inspection readiness activities, including FDA " Mock" inspections and training. Participates in multifunctional project teams to support the introduction of new products and/or changes to current products to ensure compliance with Quality requirements.
Provides guidance and control directives regarding remediation activities required to continue business operations. Resolves critical issues within the area assigned and may escalate to senior management team based on the severity of the problem. Create/revise procedures and other documentation related to the scope of responsibility Develops solutions to routine assigned activities of moderate scope & complexity Manages temperature monitoring program for the distribution center, cold storage area, and shipment of finished products.
Ensure product is stored and transported at appropriate temperature conditions and per validated or qualified shipper. Review and approve artwork and rework instructions to ensure c GMP requirements are met. Perform trending analysis related to quality operations and generate associated reports for Quality management as required. Serves as backup for Quality Manager. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills Bachelor's degree required At least seven years of related experience in Quality Assurance within a regulated environment or transferrable industry experience.

Worth Locomotive plant (TXL). For our Prep to Ship and Paint areas, this role will inspect completed locomotives prior to shipment, interact with customer inspectors, drive resolution of quality problems, ensure compliance with Quality Management System procedures, and lead continuous improvement projects. In short, he/she will ensure and improve the overall quality of processes and products manufactured in their own area,
and ensure that locomotives are ready to ship. What will your typical day look like?
For assigned area(s): Provide leadership as the main quality interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Services, and other functions Inspect locomotives prior to shipment, documents defects and communicate with base shops to ensure timely resolution Key interface with customer inspectors. Provide support during customer inspections, ensure timely resolution of customer-identified defects, engage other Wabtec resources as needed Lead root cause investigations of quality issues and containments of quality escapes; issue Quality Alerts and keep all stakeholders informed on progress and resolution Define, implement, and manage Quality Inspection Plans and other quality processes to meet customer quality expectations, internal quality expectations, and financial and contractual commitments Define, monitor, and improve quality metrics (Infancy F/LY, Unscheduled F/LY, MMBTF, DPU, NCMRs, CARs, Audits, Gage Calibration, Manufacturing Losses, etc.
) Work closely with area team to set goals and drive continuous improvement activities; mentor Quality Star Points and teaming quality projects Lead quality culture improvement inside own area and across areas. Work with the Quality Manager and other QTAs to promote a customer-focused " one team" approach to quality Continuously develop product and process knowledge, become a product and process expert Own process compliance: understand applicable Quality Management System documents, perform quality audits to ensure consistent adherence to procedures and processes, and drive CARs and improvement plans to address non-conformances Lead Manufacturing PPAPs and FAIs for significant process changes What do we want to know about you?
