Delaware Valley Floral Group is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Hauppauge Distribution Team. This is a full-time position operating a refrigerated box truck delivering to flower shops throughout Long Island and the 5 boroughs. The work schedule is five days per week, Monday through Friday, 3AM finish of route. This position also requires six or more

Saturdays per year with extra days and hours as required. Work Environment: This position operates in a warehouse and cooler environment (34 degrees).

The employee will utilize equipment such as Pallet Jacks, box cutters, and operating a 16ft Refrigerated Box truck. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and read. This position is very active and requires standing (and sitting) for periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and operating equipment.

The employee must be able to lift and or move items up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Previous professional experience driving commercial vehicles of various sizes. (Example 16ft box trucks) Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certification and have a valid Class D Driver’s License (no CDL required) within the state you reside. Employee must maintain an acceptable driving record, which is checked two times per year.

Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds Professional and pleasant disposition, able to give all clients a positive customer service experience.
