Three to six month’s experience working in a retail environment preferred. Basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills required. Must be 16 years of age or older. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and operate a Brannock device. Willing to educate other employees on Firearm Sales. Must have an open mind and outgoing personality. Must be a team player and work well in a group setting. Must be available Weekends and Holidays. Military and Law Enforcement backgrounds a plus, but not required.
Learn and implement SHSR customer service policies & procedures. Learn to promptly, appropriately and decisively follow SHSR emergency standards and procedures in situations where personal safety of clients, staff, or others may be threatened. Assist staff with maintaining inventory in the proshop as well as assisting other employees on day to day tasks. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming customers, answering their questions,
helping them locate items, and/or recommendations. Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics. Balancing the cash register. Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints. Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport. Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as firearms and ammunition. Assist staff with maintaining inventory in the Pro Shop as well as assisting other employees on day to day tasks. Provide assistance and recommendations to customers on firearm purchases. Complete all required
FFL paperwork accurately and neatly. Maintaining a clean workspace.
