Reports to: Practice Manager Join the Sun Health Center for Health & Wellbeing, a nonprofit community-based organization in Surprise, where we help our clients with lifestyle modifications such as stress reduction, improved nutrition, weight loss and better fitness in order to live healthier. We are seeking a motivated and talented LMT who would like to build a clientele as a contractor. The Center for Health & Wellbeing provides a welcoming and supporting environment that includes administrative
and marketing support, scheduling, comfortable and inviting room, and linens and equipment needed to provide multiple types of massage appropriate to the age and condition(s) of the client.
You supply the experience and talent to provide 60 or 90 minute massages at scheduled dates/times, one to three days per week in our beautiful Center. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited massage institute with license to practice as a massage therapist required. Experience in providing massage services to patients recovering from trauma, addictions, and eating disorders required. One or more years' experience in professional massage required. Licensed in Myofascial Release Approach, Cupping, and/or Craniosacral Therapy is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities Provide massage with appropriate, generally accepted techniques. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Ability to work in team approach in treatment of trauma and addiction.
Familiar with all pertinent policies including, but not limited to, interactionual harassment, staff professional behavior, infection control, fire and safety, massage services and HIPAA issues. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Set up workstation and/or treatment room with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and safety. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. Handle inappropriate guest behavior by stopping service and informing supervisor/manager. Maintain current licensure in service area. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language.
