POSITION TITLE Senior Applications Development Chemist POSITION OVERVIEW The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development and growth of the global coatings additives business by creating relevant applications data packages for strategic markets and supporting R&D developments. Secondary responsibilities include conducting scientific investigations
into the properties and mechanisms of unique additive technologies. This position is located at the Borchers brand HQ in Westlake, Ohio and will report to the North American Technical Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Generate application data for market development projects Develop deep understanding of product portfolio and leverage knowledge to address unmet needs in the coatings space Design and conduct experiments to validate value propositions for Borchers additives Formulate and test coatings for architectural, industrial, and transportation applications Work closely with research group(s) to generate data and launch new products with high market impact. Including Investigating chemistry
and mechanisms for unique additive technologies Co-develop and evaluate new prototypes and concepts Adherence to and development of standard test methods for coatings, inks, sealants, etc.

Location: Orrville, OH Corporate Offices (Estimated 50% Hybrid Environment to accomplish goals of the team and anticipated up to 20% Travel, Domestic/International) In this role you will: Lead formulation development of new and existing formulas for Uncrustables and build subject matter expertise Utilize conceptual and practical expertise in formulation
and basic knowledge of related disciplines in development Ensure formulations are compliant with regulations such as, but not limited to, nutrient profiles and claims Coordinate and manage laboratory, pilot plant and scale-ups for projects at JMS and contract manufacturing locations Work independently, guided by functional processes, with guidance only in complex situations (e.
g. when decisions have functional or organizational impact) Develop and publish technical documentation within specification and lab notebook systems Conduct analytical testing, analyze data, and articulate findings through written and verbal summaries Partners with technical team members to develop key tasks and
