About the job: You will assist the hospital in delivering excellent care to all our patients within the hospital and perform duties pursuant to WRAH Technician Protocols. You will embody our culture by treating every client with courtesy and respect, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. How you'll make a difference: Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity Provide

support to all veterinarians and assist other departments as requested Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients including critical care patients Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine Perform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross matching, and slide agglutination testing Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiograph while following appropriate radiation safety protocols Properly use and maintain medical equipment Provide professional client communication What you will bring: Experience working as a Technician or Veterinary Assistant for 2+ years in an ICU setting preferred A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects Schedule: 4X10 hours with openings on: Overnight, Wednesday- Saturday, 9PM-7AM Salary: $18-33 / hour based on experience with differentials: Swing shift: 2-3$/hour differential Overnight shift: 4-6$/hour differential Benefits: Discount on veterinary care and pet insurance options for your furry family Mental health support with Talkspace Uniform allowance Learning and growth opportunities Continuing education support for licensed team members 401k retirement plan options with company match Medical, vision, and dental insurance options - some plans may be paid up to 100% Basic life insurance provided and other voluntary insurance options available for full-time team members 6 weeks paid parental leave for full-time team members Paid time off for full-time team members Location: 10140 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 Apply today to learn how Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital can be your next career home!
