Researches and proposes changes and upgrades to network infrastructure, operating systems, and applications to ensure continuous operations and desired performance Establishes and enforces system standards, protocols and procedural controls for operation of assigned systems to insure safe, reliable, secure and appropriate use of systems.

Serves as a leader or project manager for approved projects and enhancements. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills related to the duties and responsibilities. Maintains system log files and audit files. Creates and maintains complete system documentation including schematics, user account information, configuration files and reports.

Provides technical leadership and recommendations on project planning, management and implementation of technology systems. Develops project plans and manages projects as directed by management. Develops and provides cross departmental training for network, systems, applications administration, security, usage, as well as disaster preparedness and recovery. Writes policies, procedures and documentation as appropriate. Provides assistance, advice and mentoring to other staff within and across departments. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, related technical discipline or 5 years' experience in systems or network administration required Valid driver's license is required Certification as a network professional is strongly preferred.
