The Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) has overall responsibility for reporting directly to the Project Manager and Corporate Management for the verification that we meet all quality standards on our projects. The Quality Control Manager (project level) plans, coordinates, and oversees implementation of Construction quality control and quality assurance programs at the project level.

This position also creates reviews and amends Project Quality Plans to keep them current and to ensure compliance in all respects with the contract, established standards, methods, and specifications. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Create and manage the Quality Control Plan for success on assigned

construction projects Read and understand complex contract specifications, documents, and architectural/engineering/mechanical and electrical drawings Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Review and approve submittals, process, and understand RFI's Create a Daily Activity Report to be a detailed, thorough, and complete historical record of the day's daily activities.

Work with others in a team environment to ensure contract requirements, project goals and objectives are met Communicate and reason with client's

quality assurance personnel and technical experts, and field quality assurance, technical authorities, and construction supervisory representatives Make presentations, host meetings, and engage in problem solving by bringing together technical experts, authorities having jurisdiction, assigning action items, documenting minutes and follow through to closure Proficiency in QCS/RMS software applications, Word, Excel, and Outlook Prepare graphs, charts of data, proposals, reports, and manuals Implement the three phases of quality control Read survey shots (grade and elevation) Mentor Quality Control Specialists Other duties as assigned Qualifications PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will be required to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repeat motions.

Position Summary: This position is for a Sr. Quality Engineer - Lesson Learned who will support the project identifying DFLAW Lessons Learned for implementation on HLW. This position will support the project as a quality engineer supporting internal/external audits and surveillances, answering programmatical questions, providing procedure intention interpretation, and ensuring procedure compliance across the Engineering organization.

The successful candidate must have strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills, ability to work independently, good attention to detail, proven problem-solving abilities and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will interface with technical personnel (e. g. engineers, designers), maintenance personnel, operations personnel, testing personnel, project management and the customer. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Engineering Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to be familiar with relevant Bechtel Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Engineering Department Procedure Instructions (EDPIs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

Responsibilities: The Sr. Quality Engineer - Lessons Learned responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Interfacing with engineering, plant engineering, plant management, maintenance, construction, quality assurance, procurement, testing, human resources, and other technical personnel to identify and implement lessons learned. Creating presentations and presenting complex topics.

Review and confirm validity of lessons learned. Influence and lead across the organization to institutionalize DFLAW Lessons Learned for HLW. Developing and deploying metrics by gathering data across project including lessons learned implementation. Completing technical writing and/or editing skills to complete change management plans, studies, procedure, guide, instruction, and other deliverables. Develop and present training on lessons learned initiatives to project personnel and customer as needed. Develop and/or update reports, procedures, charters and/or instructions with updated customer and project management expectations.

Review multiple engineering discipline deliverables, coordinate and communicate lessons learned across facilities. Review and translation of simple to complex technical documents with objective of identifying and communicating lessons learned. Participate in and support internal and external project quality surveillances and audits. Review Condition Reports and associated actions within the Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) automated tool (Devon Way) for lessons learned. Promote Lessons Learned Programs and interface with Quality Assurance.

Communicate quality issues to the engineering team in the form of positive feedback and lessons learned. Perform management backssments to confirm implementation, institutionalization and effectiveness of lessons learned. Skills and Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Level 1: BS degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with 6 years of progressive related experience. Level 2: BS degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of progressive related experience. Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge) Able and willing to travel. Preferred Qualifications: Experience interfacing with engineering or other technical personnel. Experience creating presentations and presenting complex topics remotely and in person.

Experience developing and deploying metrics to change behaviors. Experience completing process improvements. Technical writing and/or editing experience. Experience in Quality Engineering. Professional Engineer (P. E. ). Experience with U. S. government contracts. Experience with quality assurance programs (such as ISO-9000). Experience developing and deploying training. Experience completing and supporting surveillances/audits. Experience with Closed Loop Corrective Action Program tools (e. g. Devon Way). Technical and/or engineering work processes and techniques knowledge.
