May operate various equipment to stage, locate or process material for shipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Accurately locate and identify stock for storage and retrieval. 2. Safely operate related machinery and equipment. 3. Properly identify and process paperwork necessary for material handling. 4. Correctly load and unload trucks and verify load with delivery
tickets. 5. Properly tag, band, and package material for shipment. 6. Maintain a clean and safe work area. 7. Always be helpful and courteous to all customers and employees.
8. Perform other duties as related or assigned for the benefit of the Company. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. Previous shipping and receiving experience helpful. Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work as a team member without close supervision to meet Company and personal goals. Capable of reading a tape measure, calipers, and orders. Able to recognize different colors. Good reading, writing and math skills as measured by a pre-employment test. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT As a Warehouse Assistant, you play a vital role in helping our HVAC company operate efficiently.
Your main goal is to keep inventory stocked and well-organized. Using your customer service skills, you handle all questions and concerns from our customers in order to build and maintain a working relationship. To keep everything running smoothly, you promptly and accurately update logs and documentation for inventory processing. With safety at the forefront of your mind, you use a forklift or picker machine to move HVAC materials across the facility. Keeping things tidy and well-maintained, you also ensure that the warehouse is safe and accessible for associates.
