Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance functions involving facilities and equipment pertaining to the plant specifically, as well as electrical distribution, PLC controls and programs, automation on process lines, MDI processes, training, safety, etc.
As the successful candidate, you will maintain equipment in optimal operating condition by means of an effective preventative/predictive maintenance program. You will ensure all maintenance and repair work is properly performed in a timely and cost-effective manner. You
will also direct the effort of affected Maintenance employees to ensure quality and workmanship while maximizing the effectiveness of their efforts. As well as maintaining a high state of readiness while working closely with fellow maintenance supervisors and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality in all areas pertaining to work and employees. Punctual scheduling of all mechanics. Interaction with HR to ensure that payroll and other employee benefits are properly handled. Compliance with all regulatory agencies to ensure employee safety. Full implementation of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program and ongoing maintenance of same. Full interaction with Maintenance Manager
and Maintenance Parts Department to ensure budgetary compliance and cost control.
Full participation in the NH3 Emergency Response Team. Fill the role of Trainer, Coach, Mentor in the continuing efforts to advance mechanic skills. Maintain personal skill level consistent with changes within the company. Assume the role of mechanic when the situation dictates it. Interaction and communication with other departments within the company. Participate in MDI initiatives Drive continuous improvement within Maintenance Department- downtime, engagement, employee skill set Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Associate Degree in a related technical field and formal supervisory education.
Minimum of 5 years in the maintenance field. 10 years of experience in maintenance + 2 years in a supervisory role is preferred Personal experience with Industrial electricity and at least four of the following areas: Ammonia refrigeration, TIG welding, General mechanical, Basic Hydraulics, Steam Boilers, Pneumatics, Packaging machinery, HVAC service, Plumbing, Industrial Safety, Wastewater treatment.
