Must perform and be proficient with all of the following procedures if performed at assigned facility which include angiography, thoracic, abdomen, venous, cardiac, functional MRI, gated, interventional, breast MRI, fetal MR, and spectroscopy.

Obtains medical history from patients, compares requisitions to physician's orders to ensure ordered exam accuracy, and prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist. Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors, adjusts factors to attain the appropriate images, and provides magnet protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies. Post-processes

images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images identifying patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images.

Maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges. Identifies equipment performance issues and performs equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures. Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate staff and evaluates new products and equipment. Serves as a technical resource, role model and/or preceptor for students and staff.

Acts as a resource to staff at own facility and throughout the system.

Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to provide education on managing patients after procedures and any other imaging department processes and procedures. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to backss data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.

Education Required: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.

Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities Demonstrates understanding and rationale

of all procedures performed within the designated specialty.

Identifies functional safety needs for the individual patient or customer and takes appropriate action. Meets all required performance standards as identified by Department, Hospital, and Organization. Demonstrates practice of basic patient care concepts and safety. Applies principles of asepsis in a manner that provides optimal patient care in the OR. Performs basic surgical case preparation skills. Performs the role of first scrub. Perform as second assisting technologist. Demonstrates responsible behavior as a health care professional. Able to scrub all scheduled cases - ASCMaintains all ST II requirements.

Actively participates in unit PI activities. Takes active role in keeping specialty updated. Is able to precept student and/or new employee regarding their specialty team. Demonstrates ability to anticipate case needs. Takes personal responsibility for own learning needs. Recognizes and takes initiative to seek needed cases, asking for help if necessary. Is able to scrub all core cases - WMH ORCompletes a yearly learning project or activity. Is able to perform a basic skin prep. WMH: Assigned to one of the following specialties: Gynecological/Urological; Cardiothoracic; General/Vascular; Orthopedic/Neurologic - and is responsible for knowledge of " core cases" across specialties.

What You Will Do: Surgical Technologist functions as the scrub person. Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures. They ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a surgical technologist in the same area or in similar day-to-day situations in a hospital operating room setting. patients and cares for orthopedic fractures. We also serve a small medical population. Our three south unit includes an 11 bed unit with medical patients and general surgical patients. These patients include: sepsis, cardiac, stroke, renal, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses.

The surgical population includes appendectomy, small bowel obstructions and various other surgeries. The Medical Surgical Unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. Our patient management on both units may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, varieties of tubes and drains. There are approximately 60 staff

members that include experienced and newer staff including, CNA’s, RN’s, and Unit Clerks. Supported by the Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator and Operations Coordinator.

This unit is a fantastic unit to learn and care for patients. We are prepared to meet the needs of our staff and the community we serve. What You Will Do: Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Nurse Intern collects objective data according to the clinical practice and theory obtained from nursing education and in orientation. Utilizes this objective data and works under the supervision of the registered nurse in providing nursing care grounded in the ANA standards of nursing practice. May administer medications under the direct supervision of the RN after completing Pharmacology course (or equivalent content) in school.

The Nurse Intern must be a nursing student entering the final semester of a registered nurse program or an individual having completed a nursing program but not yet obtained state licensure to practice as an RN. Obtains clinical knowledge and technical skills while working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse i. e Clinical Nurse 2,3 or 4. You Will: Be a nursing student entering the final 9 months of a RN program or an individual who has completed an accredited nursing program but has not yet received registered nursing licensure.

Be currently enrolled in, or a graduate of, an accredited school of nursing. Current employees must have an overall highly valued rating on their last performance review. If enrolled in a nursing program, must meet the following: Be active in the nursing program, without discipline. Submission of a recommendation letter by a clinical instructor from the candidate’s school. Submission of a clinical education skills checklist from the candidate’s school. Submission of a current transcript (may be unofficial). The nurse intern must have passing grades in all nursing courses.
