In your role as a Production Engineer, you will also work closely with other individuals and teams to establish yearly spending plans, production commitments to the business, and cost goals. This role is to provide a technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations and process performance so as to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation, thereby maximizing value to the business in a safe environmentally friendly manner.
Production Engineer Position Responsibilites: Performs engineering analysis and calculations and assists with plant troubleshooting and implementation of production/maintenance needs. Works with Technical Advising
and plant personnel to optimize operations to meet Business and plant goals. Provides leadership and direction in the day-to-day decision making for the operating area of responsibility.
Participates when required in advanced trouble shooting and coaches others to learn these skills and ensures. findings are documented for future usage. Leads or participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA's), Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR's), in process commissioning and start-up activities and in Operator training efforts for new operators and new installations. Writes area operating procedures as needed and ensure existing procedures are current, accurate and complete. Networks with other engineers
on site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operations.
Shares on call responsibilities with other plant personnel and helps coordinate area of responsibility during planned shutdown and maintenance activities. Production Engineer Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 1+ years of project/manufacturing experience; 3+ years of production/manufacturing experience preferred. Chlorine manufacturing environment experience preferred. Familiarity and experience with data management systems (Pi) preferred. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - verbal and written. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
