Collaborating with customers to secure and document easements for line extensions and highway relocation work. Updating and maintaining compliant records to support technical reports, metrics, and information systems. Travelling to various off-site locations as required, including First Energy offices, training facilities, and customer sites. Providing ongoing assistance during emergencies and storm-related activities.
Qualifications Associate Degree in a technical discipline is required. OR High School or equivalent and minimum 2 to 6 years related work experience is required. Related work experience includes utility design and knowledge of design practices, procedures, and methods used in construction. Pass the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Technician Occupations Selection System (TECH) employment test Strong communication ability to guide decision-making or consensus, negotiate acceptable outcomes, and diffuse challenging situations. Willing to seek guidance and advice to fill gaps in understanding.
Self-motivated and able to manage shifting priorities. Able to interpret complex written and visual information, such as procedures, manuals, drawings, and schematics. Able to gain working familiarity with standards, codes, regulations, electrical systems, construction methods, equipment, and safety requirements, including practical applications. Able to gain proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office, SAP, customer request work scheduling (CREWS), outage management system (OMS), and graphic work design (DDS).
