Building height from ground level to roof ridge is approximately 55 feet, or the equivalent of four and one-half stories. This barn stands out for
its historic integrity, specifically design, materials and workmanship. It has front-gabled, steeply pitched "broken gambrel" roof; a design achieved by the construction of a flanking shed to each side of the central bay The exterior is clad in uncoursed, quarry-faced, multi-colored sandstone.
