I built Mustang Sally camper van with sustainability in mind. All of the major materials (wool insulation, bamboo walls and floor, etc) are environmentally friendly. Even the paint has no VOCs! I spent several years doing research and the build to
make sure I got things just right. I wanted to convert the van into a space that had features more similar to what you would find in an apartment to make the space as livable and functional as possible (things like extra outlets or even a closet make a big difference in comfortability).
The entire system is electric (no propane-so much safer! ) and was installed by a professional auto electric company which specializes in RV and ambulance builds. Something that sets Sally apart from other van conversions is her battery bank - 4 Battle Born lithium batteries - that charges via the alternator while driving or idling. You can also plug in via a regular 120V plug OR a 30amp RV hookup if youre
planning on staying in one place for a while. I lived in her for about a year while travel nursing- she could use some aesthetic finishing touches but is completely live-in ready as is.
My van life journey has come to an end, but Im looking for someone who wants to keep Sallys adventure going! model 31D notice the spacious rear storage compartment that is not only accessible from each side, but from the very rear as well. Once inside notice how open it is with dual opposing slides in the very front area. There is a slide out Dinette behind the front passenger seat that can serve you well for meals, and added sleeping space at night.
Opposite you will find a slide out sofa bed and three burner range. There is overhead cabinetry above the sofa, and a TV above the dinette that can easily be viewed throughout the coach. Also notice the overhead bunk above the cab area which is quite spacious providing 57\" x 95\" of sleeping room. With this unit you can easily accommodate
several campers up front. In the kitchen area you can prepare and cook food easily. Next to the three burner range there is a double sink along the interior wall, and both the sink and range have covers to increase your counter-top space when not in use.
The refrigerator is found along the curb side to the left of the entry door. Next to it you will notice a pantry for your non-perishables. Along side the pantry you will find plenty a wardrobe for your hanging clothes. Continuing into the rear bedroom you will see that the queen bed slides out along the back wall, but can also be very functional with space along one side when in the closed slide position as well. There is a nightstand
and storage along the left side, and a TV off the rear of the bed along the road side corner with a chest of drawers.
The bathroom can be found mid-coach opposite the wardrobe. Inside you will find a shower, a vanity with sink and storage, plus a toilet, and so much more!
