Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duty: As a Compensation Analyst you will: Plan and develop analyses, reports, and presentations in collaboration with the AVPHR, VP Finance and Administration, or other management staff as requested. Partner with the AVPHR to conduct position evaluations, create and review job classifications, prepare job descriptions and determine salary ranges for all staff positions.

Conduct analysis of qualifications and work experience for staff salary placement. Coordinate the annual Salary Review Process for the University. Collaborate extensively with the Administrative Computing team, including programmers and support specialists, for initial data collection and post-process roll into the mainframe system. Work closely with the AVPHR and the VPFA throughout the process. Complete CUPAHR Administrative Salary Survey, CUPAHR Professional Salary Survey, CUPAHR Staff Salary Survey, and other surveys as requested.

Together with AVPHR, partner with management regarding organizational restructuring and salary survey analysis. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for review and approval (together with AVPHR) of all internal requests for employee data (for example, employee email lists, lists of full-time/part-time employees, etc. ). Serve as the HR department's technical point-of-contact for all employee-related data housed on the University's mainframe system (Ellucian Colleague). Work closely with the Administrative Computing team, including programmers and support specialists, to guarantee the integrity of data.

Assist with data entry into Ellucian Colleague after completion of the Salary Review process, annual benefit enrollment process, etc. Duty: Lead Generalist: Coordinate the Position Control system for all faculty and staff positions. Create new positions as necessary, monitor salary accounts and positions. Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President for Budgeting and Planning. Compile data for staff sections of IPEDS survey. Troubleshoot software problems within the HR department. Participate in various committees as needed/appointed. Serve as the HR liaison to provide HR-related data to other University departments and/or constituencies.

Assist with day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Assist with annual benefit open enrollment process. Review and sign as HR representative on evaluations and job description changes during the annual Performance Evaluation process. Duty: Retirement Program: Complete all administrative responsibilities for the Retirement Plan Committee (RPC) and prepare annual report for RPC. Manage participant enrollments, terminations, loans; investigate and resolve participant issues or concerns; manage and monitor systems (e.

g. TIAA auto enrollment) for accuracy. Deliver annually required notifications to all participants as required under ERISA. Manage plan expenses through Revenue Credit Account (RCA); coordinate distribution of overages in RCA to plan participants. Compile all data for annual retirement plan audit, Non-Discrimination testing, and preparation of Form 5500. Ensure the establishment and adherence to all timelines and responsibly leverage supporting resources such as counsel and auditors. Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Bachelor's degree and three years of experience as a compensation analyst. Extensive knowledge and understanding of computer software programs including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat products. Demonstrated ability to use advanced features in Excel (such as pivot tables) to retrieve, analyze and generate management reports.

Outstanding analytical and critical evaluation skills with a keen attention to detail to produce accurate reports and analyses. Ability to compare data from different sources to draw conclusions and develop appropriate solutions. Expert multitasker with ability to be flexible, adjust to fluctuating priorities, and produce timely and reliable work product. Additional responsibilities include providing accurate financial reports in accordance with Federal, State and GAAP laws/regulations in addition to Company policies procedures, and controls. The role also provides financial analytical support to including: analyzing key variance and investigating accounting irregularities within operating divisions to help understand the root cause and ensure any errors are rectified. Office's accounting principles, practices, procedures, initiatives, and controls.

Includes providing technical accounting guidance from time to time. Oversees financial close procedures, including monthly, and annual processes to verify, allocate, review, and post details of financial business transactions. Ensures accurate representations of the Central Office's financial position and results. Balances accounts/ledgers for multiple departments and business regions. Completes detailed work paper preparation for external auditors. Responsible for internal analysis of accounts and other auditing procedures as needed. Manages day-to-day accounting functions, including oversight of Accounts Payable (AP) function and accounting staff.

Prepare and interpret statistical reports for internal and external purposes. Prepares management reports for multiple business units/regions. Ad-hoc Implement process improvements for the Central Office accounting function as identified and directed by the Divisional Controller from time to time. Review divisional balance sheet reconciliations for the US Group on a rotational basis with a risk based backssment approach to ensure financial control is maintained at all operating divisions. Review and report on assigned divisional accounts and actively communicate with divisions for proper resolution of reconciling items.

Assist divisional controllers to improve reconciliation processes and identify balance sheet positions which are highly judgmental and may impact overall profit metrics. Understand key balance sheet (including cash) position changes at the divisional level and help optimize working capital and other commercial considerations. Promote best practice across the divisions by helping individual controllers connect with other divisional controllers to improve and streamline processes in order to reduce the risk of errors and increase efficiency of Close.

Coordinates special projects as needed, including any research, problem-solving and reconciliations required. Will generally require deep dive into divisional accounting so attention to detail is imperative. Analyzes trends on sales, expenses, and staff in accordance with goals and objectives established by management. Other Adhere to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements. The Tax Director is responsible for the overall administration, planning, compliance, organizing, coordination, and evaluation of tax services. As a strategic business partner, the Tax Director will drive new and

QUALIFICATIONS: --- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other related degree as approved is required. --- Master's degree is preferred. --- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. --- Minimum 10 years of relevant tax experience is required. --- Minimum 5 years or management or supervisory experience is required. --- Significant experience in a public accounting or professional services environment is required. --- Knowledge of Internal Revenue Code and is required. --- Exhibits

--- Participates in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. --- Coordinates involvement of Tax staff on all phases of the engagement, including execution of the engagement letter, communications with the client, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling. --- Creates client engagement material and presentations for meetings. --- Delegates work to Tax staff according to their experience and capabilities in conformance with the planning documents.

--- Reviews the Tax service line's working papers and determines that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter. --- Provides overall leadership, supervision, skills backssments of team members, coordinates training, and creates and delivers performance feedback to staff. --- Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place and compliance requirements are met. --- Support the Firm's strategic alliances and partnership, along with Assistant Directors and Managers to sustain and grow clients, programs, and services.

--- Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications. --- Manages office administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization. --- Maintains compliance with external regulations and internal policies. --- Oversees department staffing needs and participate as appropriate in recruiting activities (e. g. interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations, etc. ). --- Participates in budget development and monitoring of expenses. --- Ensures Tax service line employees are properly and accurately billing for time, reviews non-billable, billable and utilization reports.

Makes and communicates work hours or project adjustments as necessary. --- Generates necessary reports for the executive team; reviews subordinates' reports --- Stays current on tax law, AICPA, and state CPA society rules, regulations and code of ethics. --- Practice development: --- Develops business by expanding existing relationships with clients, maintaining personal networks, and participating in civic, business, and professional organizations --- Periodically reviews engagements with present clients.

--- Keeps clients aware of new services and developments. --- Maintains contacts with referral sources and clients. --- Expands the Firm's brand through speaking engagements, publication of articles and books, and participation in civic affairs. --- Represents the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partner. --- Maintains a solid continuing base knowledge of tax, accounting, audit, and financial regulations & standards. --- Proactively communicates any issues/concerns relating to service line. --- Develops proficiency for Firm software applications and procedures.

--- Maintains a positive attitude and is receptive to constructive feedback. --- Complies with the professional and Firm requirements (e. g. employee handbook requirements, time entry procedures, audit quality control document requirements, etc. ) including complying with confidentiality requirements (e. g. client information, proposal information, personnel information, job-related information, etc. ). --- Actively attended and engages in meetings and training sessions. --- Maintains the required CPE for firm and licensing standards. Other Duties: --- Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties.

Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner. --- Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, and work processes. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. --- May assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service and demonstrating team work skills.
