Technical Writer/Illustrator 2 This position is responsible for the development of various technical publications, utilized by our customer base and service organization, along with maintaining multiple websites for global markets.
The position will work closely with the engineering, product management, and other with cross: functional teams to obtain the necessary information to develop and ensure accuracy of their deliverables. This position is located at our Holland, Michigan facility and is not open to fully remote candidates.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES : Operator Manual development/maintenance: Parts Manuals development/maintenance: Aftermarket kit installation instruction development: Technical Service bulletin development and communication: User Guide development : Online Parts Catalog authoring: Dept.
consultation/coordination of engineering change orders that affect Parts Manuals : Maintain department technical publication records/files: Participation with cross: functional project teams REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION : Two: year Technical Degree in Technical Publications or related field; and/or a minimum of three years of technical writing/illustration experience.Proficient with desktop publishing
software; Adobe Custom Suite products including Acrobat, Illustrator, Photo Shop, In Design, etc.
Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, Solid Works/CAD, XML, Quicksilver and Iso Draw experience would be a plus.Proficient in photography, composition, editing, etc. REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL and BEHAVIORAL SKILLS : Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Strong computer skills in general. General knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to disassemble machinery. Read, interpret/comprehend complex technical data/information. : Strong organizational skills. Problem: solve and offer new ideas for continuous improvements. Adapt to department's software, processes and standards in a timely manner.
